A Christmas Concert

About Us

Little Hereford Voices was formed in 2011 by John Turrell, as a way of serving the community with music. Since then, the choir have come on in leaps and bounds, and there are now usually around 32 members at any one time. Now, under the direction of Kimee Cleaton, they are continuing to reap the benefits of community singing.

See below for more information about some key players in the choir.

Kimee Cleaton - Musical Director

Kimee is a choir director, music teacher, performer, arranger and published composer who lives just over the border in Shropshire with her husband and three children. She took on the choir in September 2016, and loves the challenge and variety of working with LHV.

Kimee also conducts two other choirs (Craven Arms Men's Chorus and Shrewsbury Theatre Singers), is an organist and music leader for St. Laurence's Church in Church Stretton, and teaches singing/piano lessons, both at the Long Mynd Music Academy, and privately from home.

Kimee is a keen writer and arranger of choral music and LHV has sung a number of her arrangements and compositions to date.

Rachel Dickenson - Piano Accompanist

In September 2023 we welcomed Rachel Dickenson as our new accompanist after our previous pianist retired.  Rachel's musical journey started with recorder at the age of 6. This led to clarinet, then saxophone, alongside keyboard, piano and organ. She has taught instrumental music in several local schools and has run Charisma Music Academy in Kidderminster for over 20 years.

Rachel began accompanying students for exams and concerts while still at school herself. She has always loved performing with other musicians and adapting to their style of performance. As well as LHV, she also accompanies Primary Chords Choir in Kidderminster.

Rachel was thrilled to be given the opportunity to join LHV in September 2023 and is looking forward to accompanying her first concert with the choir.
